Keeping in tradition, we started CMJ week off with a bang several stories above the city. This year we took over King & Grove's rooftop alongside The dFm, Ticketfly and Destroyer. A few hundred of our favorite fest-bound friends arrived (thanks, Uber!) to spend their evening with a DJ set by Portland's soulful Shy Girls.
We're one week out from CMJ and our artists are gearing up to take over venues all across New York City. To help you organize your busy week, we've put together a comprehensive guide of where you'll find The Windish Agency's artists October 15-20. Get the download here and while you're at it, take a peek at what we've got in store for our official showcases.
The annual Performing Arts Exchange (PAE) is in full swing September 23-26 in Music City, Nashville. With a purpose to connect artists to audiences, PAE has been around for more than 35 years and offers insight into the performing arts field by offering a variety of professional development opportunities, including showcases and workshops. The Windish Agency’s performing arts agent Alex Rabens will be at booth #416 during the conference, so stop by and say hello.
October 15-19, New York City will become breeding ground for today's best up-and-coming artists in a tradition known as the CMJ Music Marathon. With more than 1,400 artists performing across 80 venues, music lovers are bound to leave with a new favorite act (and likely a little sleep deprivation). Now that you've booked your hotels and flights for CMJ, it's time for us to share what we've been busy booking!

The conference offers a variety of exhibits, performances, speakers, classes and workshops from over 200 artists, managers and agents.
Since the early days of backyard BBQs, The Windish Agency has hosted an August get-together prior to Chicago's Lollapalooza takeover. Each year, more and more friends join us, making last Thursday's event the largest yet. We kept with tradition when we teamed up with our partner-in-crime, SPIN, for the second consecutive year to host our annual Lollapalooza kick-off party.
Last night, The Windish Agency and our friends at TOMS hosted a pre-party for One Day Without Shoes, an initiative that aims to raise global awareness for children's health and education.
