Each year, industry professionals gather at Pollstar Live! to join together in a week-long think-tank and conference. The 25th annual event will take place February 19-21, and for the first time ever, will be held in Music City, Nashville, TN. In conference tradition, the final night will feature the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards, a ceremony held at the Omni Hotel to celebrate the achievements of music business elites. From promoting creativity to engaging people in meaningful arts experiences, the four-day conference serves as a networking and learning ground for nearly 1,000 performing arts professionals from all over the country.
Our performing arts team is traveling to Los Angeles this week for the Western Arts Alliance Conference (WAA), kicking off Tuesday, August 27 and running through Friday. Established in 1967 as an effort to revolutionize touring in the western states, the WAA Conference has significantly grown from 26 participants the first year to more than 1,000 today. The conference offers a variety of exhibits, performances, speakers, classes and workshops from over 200 artists, managers and agents.
Our founder, Tom Windish, will head to Roskilde, Denmark this week for Roskilde Festival, the largest North European culture and music festival taking place June 29 - July 7. Tom will speak on Thursday, July 4 during the Backstage Music Seminar which is part of Northern Sounds, an initiative created by Roskilde Festival as an effort to share knowledge about the music industry and build stronger relationships between music professionals.
In celebration of EDC Week, electronic music lovers are gathering in Las Vegas June 18-25 for what some people are calling the biggest dance party of the year. To top off the festivities, Electric Daisy Carnival will take place June 21-23, offering live performances from some of the biggest names in EDM.
