Bio
AgesandAges began in the winter of 2009, when singer/guitarist Tim Perry set out to assemble a band large enough to pull off every intricate detail of even the most heavily layered arrangements in a live setting. Starting with Daniel Hunt on Drums, Kate O’Brien-Clarke on keys/strings, and Rob Oberdorfer on bass, AaA grew fast until it peaked at seven members strong. Perry even enlisted the talents of childhood friend, Graham Mackenzie, who uprooted from his home in NYC to join the band in its rainy Portland town. There, the rest of the band shared in their affinity for complex vocal harmonies, rounds, call and response, and a whole lot of percussion, which became apparent as the band continued to amass a catalogue of songs in which everybody played multiple roles.
